Parents as Partners:
Parental involvement is key in Early Childhood Education. At BVHS, our Parents as Partners programme engages parents as active participants in their child’s learning.
Designed specifically for Early Years, the campus classrooms are spacious, filled with natural light, and equipped with air conditioning and projectors, creating a stimulating play-based and tech-enriched learning environment.
In early childhood, learning occurs at a speed that will never be equaled. Play is one of the most important ways in which young children gain essential knowledge and skills. For this reason, environments that promote play exploration and hands-on learning are at the core of BVHS’s effective pre-primary programmes.
We have integrated progressive approaches and practices from the Reggio Emilia approach within our Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS). Inquiry-based learning, which promotes critical thinking skills and aims to support young learners in personal, social, emotional and physical development. This method fosters a love of learning and prepares children for their future educational journey.
Emphasizing holistic development, the department integrates play-based learning and social-emotional growth to build foundational skills for future success. With the expertise of an Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCO), targeted interventions are available to support children with diverse needs. Parent engagement workshops are held twice a term to equip families with tools and strategies to support their child’s development, while regular CPD sessions for teachers focus on their professional and emotional growth, ensuring a high standard of care and learning.
Co-curricular and after-school activities are integral to our Pre-School programme, promoting life skills, and nurturing personal talents and passions. We offer a wide range of structured extracurricular activities.
As we celebrate 30 years of excellence at BVHS-Pre-School Campus Clifton, we are honoured to reflect on our journey and the countless students and families who have been part of our school community. Our vision remains steadfast: to nurture young learners and inculcate values such as cooperation, teamwork, competition, and confidence-building through co-curricular activities.
Each year, we eagerly welcome new, inquisitive faces to our pre-school. Guided by the Reggio Emilia approach and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, we see each child as a unique individual. Our dedicated team of educators is passionate about creating a nurturing environment where every child’s strengths and interests are valued.
We believe in collaboration between school and home and invite parents to partner with us in building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Our curriculum fosters critical thinking, creativity, and essential skills, helping each child achieve their fullest potential.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s early education. Together, let’s inspire and uplift our young learners, building a vibrant and inclusive community.
Warm regards,
– Zainab Rangwala
